Education
The Division of Endocrinology has a longstanding commitment to developing the next generation of clinicians and scientists. In addition to an ACGME-accredited clinical fellowship program, the division has two NIH-funded training programs dedicated to the development of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty members: The Northwestern University Program in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hormone Action is a mentored training program for pre- and postdoctoral trainees sponsored by an institutional Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award. The Building Interdisciplinary Careers in Women’s Health program supports the research career development of junior faculty members engaging in basic research, translational research, clinical research and/or health services research relevant to women’s health.
